Songs from the Heart Special!

I just saw Songs from the Heart and I have to say it beat Slane Castle! The dresses, the lights, music, fog, everything was perfect! I loved it all. Extreme Rhythm Drummers were there along with bagpipes. A Gospel Choir was added in some songs. I wasn't crazy about the extra choir but whatever. My new favorite song is called Nil Se n' La. A fun song about drinking wine and staying up all night dancing! All 5 girls were included in this song and it was just so much fun to see! Nicky and Ray even got in their drumming solo like in Mo Ghile Mear. Fire was used in several songs and fireworks too. Mairead's solo ending was perfect! I have been dying to see this on DVD and CW stuck it in! Oh it was amazing. So can't wait to see it in concert! Lisa has a new solo called Moon's a Harsh Mistress. Wow, it was amazing. Loved her high notes in it. Course I love anything that Lisa sings. Alex did a great job with her songs as did Lynn. Not sure what was up with Alex's hair. It sorta looked like she hadn't brushed it. LOL. Anyways, the show was fantastic. Wish I had gone. Can't wait till Feb 18, 2010!

The Avett Brother's "I and Love and You" Music Video shoot!

Ok, so I got the information from their facebook and they needed a crowd for their video. So I signed up and two days later I got the email saying I had been approved. Yes!

So on Wednesday, I got to the Neighborhood theater around 11:30am and the line was like 100 yards long lol. I stood in line for about 40mins. We started moving around 12 and then stood in line some more. Then they said that they wanted people with names beginning A-K, so I shot up toward the front. Then we waited some more. I finally got to the front and I handed over my paper and got my wrist band. I grabbed a water and chugged it down. I entered the theater and it was pretty cool! A huge fan up above was blowing cool air. So we all stood around for another 30mins. Then I hear everyone screaming and out come the Avett Brothers! AHHH! Scott looked so cute.

So the director's name was Lindsey and she was very nice. She told us that all we needed to do was just act like it was a regular show; jump, scream, throw our hands in the air and wave them. I was pretty much in the back of the crowd standing in front of a tall guy. So we do the first shoot in full and Lindsey tells us that she liked our hand movements so to keep doing that. Also, to keep our cameras down and that we can take pictures and record between shoots. So then we do the full song a couple more times.

Then Lindsey says that they are going to do a fast version of the song. We all scream and get excited. haha we were very happy. So the song starts up very fast and poor Scott can't seem to catch up lol He makes weird faces trying to do the best he can with lip- syncing fast. We do that a few more times and get a kick out of it.

We keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. In between the shooting, The Avett's talk about funny stuff that has happened on tour, Scott and Seth share moments they remember when they were younger. They even sang some songs!

We are now told that Scott will stage dive into the crowd and we go ballistic! So Lindsey has two of her guys stand in front just in case lol. So Scott jumps into the crowd and he is no where near me haha. Then we get the other guys to do it after chanting their names. We ever get Lindsey to do it lol She was so nervous at first but she took the leap! Scott jumped a few more times and then Lindsey announced that there would be a 10 minute break. That 10 minute break ended up being more like 30mins lol but it was fine. I ended up moving up closer!

So then Lindsey says that she is going rearrange the cameras so that the main camera is behind the guys and looking at us! Cool! So we do the last 30 secs of the song over and over and over and over again. I am not sure how many times we did that but it was so tiring because we had to cheer for a long time and clap and go crazy. lol

Then Lindsey says that the guys are going to sing another song for us. They say that the song they are going to sing, they have NEVER EVER sang it for a live crowd before, so we are the first to hear it live! WOW. After that song they sing another one.

Then Lindsey comes back on stage and says she wants to get 2 more shoots of the whole song from the top. So we do the whole song twice. Then afterwords, the guys shake our hands and thank us.

It is now 5:10pm and I am so tired lol Whew. I get home around 6pm and I swear I could have gone to bed I was so tired.

CW DVD taping!

Well, I can't go to the taping due to the fact that it is in Ireland and on July 29th and the 30th. I need my passport updated and other stuff. Oh well. Next time maybe.
Anyways, rumors have it that CW will be coming back for a Fall tour! I read it in an article and I am very excited. I have a feeling though that they may skip Charlotte. Although, they did come back in 2007 twice! So who knows with them. LOL they are so unpredictable which I love about them! Just thought I would blog about that!

Isle of Hope Review!!!!!!!!!!

Before I begin my review, I have been one of the few members who had been staying away from the spoiler board. I didn’t want to know anything about the show because I wanted to be surprised and let me tell you I was surprised tonight! Now just to clarify things up a bit, I ended up finding out about some spoilers. Like when I watched CW on the Today Show and saw their dresses and heard the new arrangement of Danny Boy. Or when members would accidently post spoiler in the wrong board I did found out about Carolina. So I knew a little about the songs. Ok so onto my review!
The beginning was neat when Chloe was talking.
SDS: I was glad that they kept this song in the show! I was a bit worried at first that it would get dropped but out came Mairead and the opening notes and I was so excited! The girls looked very good in their dresses. I hadn’t heard Alex live before and WOW WHAT A VOICE SHE HAS! Gosh! Alex, you found a place in my heart now!
Fields of GoldOMG OMG OMG LISA!!!!!! I love this new song! Wow I cried it was soo good! Lisa you rocked at this song! I have never heard of this till now and WOW it was really good! It’s a new favorite of mine! Coast of Galicia: This song started out slow and I thought it was going to be like that! Haha was I wrong! I loved this song! It kept getting better as it went on and at one point I thought it was over, NOPE! The drums got louder and Mairead kept playing! It was awesome!
When You Believe: I can’t believe Chloe sang this song! I loved it! Chloe has really grown up and her voice has really matured. After she was done, she giggled and skipped off stage. Carolina Rua: I love this song live! Lynn’s dancing was so cute. The last time I saw Lynn was in October of 2007 when she was brand new! She has sure come a long way since then! Way to GO LYNN!True Colors: Again Alex comes out and she starts singing and I just sit there amazed at her voice and her range. I have always liked this song but tonight I loved it even more now! Thanks Alex!Orinoco Flow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH! Ok so I am thinking that it’s going to be Alex, Lisa and Lynn but then I see Chloe! Haha! That really surprised me! Chloe was a wonderful addition! I was so glad that they decided to keep this song! It was the song that got me into CW! Then the instrumental part comes and Gavin does a wonderful job! We clapped for him.
Isle of Hope song is after this and I loved the pictures. This song is wonderful and the Girls did an amazing job with it! Loved how they all turned to look at the screen. Granuailes Dance was next and I love watching Mairead fly all around the stage! After this song she bowed and pranced off stage smiling. She’s so cute!
The Blessing: the last time I saw Lisa sing this song she was pregnant with Ellie LOL! Lisa did a great job with this song and afterwards blew a kiss towards the piano and walked off. Goodnight My Angel: Gosh! What a song! I loved it. It was very nice and I thought of my nieces and nephews during this song. Danny Boy: I knew how this was going to be done since I had seen the Girls on the Today Show and I was excited to hear it live. Well, they did a fantastic job with this song! I absolutely love it!
Mo Ghile Mear: Yes, they kept this song too! So I am sitting there and all of a sudden on the screen comes FIRE! OMG FIRE! I literally said “WOW FIRE!” LOL I am so glad fire was in this show! Too bad it wasn’t real lol MGM was once again great and during the drumming I shouted “GO NICKY GO!” LOL During intermission my Dad and I moved up 7 seats to row O because that row was empy ( we had row V). We find some friends who have Mezzanine and tell them to come and sit with us and they do.Ok, so the show starts up again and OMG The Call! It scared me, the beginning haha! My Dad and I jumped, looked at each other and laughed lol. This was a great song and I loved the hand movements with it.
Dulaman was next and out comes Lynn! I had heard her sing this before and it was just so cute watching her sing this. Way to go Lynn!You’ll Be in My Heart: I about jumped out of my seat when I heard the opening notes to this song! I had hoped that they would sing this song and they did! Wow! I was so happy! Alex did an amazing job at it! Good arrangement. Alex said thanks afterwards
Last Rose of Summer: Chloe and Lynn did a great job at this! Their voices together make a great sound! They walked off holding hands and then Mairead did her instrumental part that lead into Nella Fantasia!Chloe comes out and when she sings this song, gosh! Her voice has matured so well and I love the way she sang it! Way to go Chloe! She giggled and walked off. At the Ceili: Yes, they kept this song too! I absolutely love this song! It’s so much fun watching the Girls perform it! At one point Mairead went over to where Lisa was standing next to the guys and motioned for her to move so she could stand next to them! LOL it was cute.
Shenandoah/ The Contradiction: The audience liked this one. (They always do) We clapped along as Mairead played with Ray and Nicky. Her face expressions were priceless! Gotta love Mairead.Have I Told You Lately: Ahh I loved their version of this song. Very good. Alex, you rocked! The Girls hugged at the end of the song, which was cute to see.
The Voice! AHH LISA LISA LISA! I was so excited when she come out and I knew what song it was going to be! Lisa blew the roof off the auditorium at the end! Way to GO LISA! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
Sing Out: Love this song and I love watching Chloe! LOL She was totally dancing and rocking out lol She was so cute. After that Chloe talked about how America was the first country to embrace them and how much they loved Charlotte (She was sort of out of breath since she had just finished singing lol and at one point it sounded like she forgot the name of the auditorium cause she began to say “Ove… Ovens Auditorium” LOL) Then she said that they had a new song and I knew what song it was! O AMERICA!
O America! OMG OMG OMG OMG! I loved this song so much! Wow! It was stellar! Afterwards we gave them a standing ovation. The Girls smiled. YRMU: I loved the fact that they added the extra stanza. Wonderful job Girls!Then Mairead comes back out and performs her solo number which I love! I screamed “GO MAIREAD!”
Once again the Girls come out and do MGM and there’s the FIRE again! AHH! FIRE! Lol Spanish Lady is next and Chloe is totally rocking out to this song! She and Mairead to the “Bump” and then Chloe laughs and dances some more!

The show is now over and as soon as it’s over and the lights come back on, they start breaking the stage down. I am so glad I didn’t look at the spoilers! It was totally worth it! It was very hard to do though! Just ask Chris and Emily! LOL I am very proud of CW and all those who work on this tour! They did an amazing job with the stage and the songs! I loved the show and hope to see them soon!

Chloe, you have grown up so much! Lynn, you have come a long way since the last time I saw you, you were great!
Mairead, what can I say about you? You were amazing as usual! Way to go ALL! I love it!

I saw a Spoiler!

So I saw a Spoiler today. I am not sure if I am happy with the song I saw. "Carolina Rua" is sung by Lynn apparently. I really don't like that song. I'm not really into her cd as a matter of fact. Don't get me wrong! I love Lynn's voice and I do like "Swimming in the Barrow" and "Road to Glory". As for the other songs, eeh they are ok. I like acoustic stuff but I think Lynn should have used a full orchestra in the background lol. I like orchestra's. But who knows. I may like it once I see it Live, but I am pretty nervous!

1 Month Exactly!

Till my Isle of Hope Concert!!!!!!!! I am so damn excited! I will finally get to look at that God Blessed Board! I will finally get to answer The Call and all the other new songs!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG LISA LISA LISA!!!! Lisa will be on the Tinker Bell soundtrack as well! She will being singing the main title song "If You Believe" OMG I can't wait to hear Mairead and Lisa together! My favorites!

Dancing with the Stars and CW!

Ok so I didn't watch DWtS cause of tour spoilers! They wore their tour dresses and I don't wanna see those till the actual show in June.

I preordered the Dave Matthews Band: Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King! I am so freaking excited! I already have the one song "Funny How it is" The cd is guarenteed to come by June 2nd!

Ireland's Flag backwards

So this is not the Irish Flag that flies backwards! Ok I didn't know of any other flags that look like Ireland's! Come on people! Apperantly it is Côte d'Ivoire Flag. But why my school didn't put Irelands flag is strange.

Dancing with the Stars and CW!

CW will be appearing on Dancing with the Stars Tuesday, April 21st! They will be singing "You Raise Me Up". I can't wait to see them! I bet they will sing the tour version. Gosh and be in their tour dresses! Oh man! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!! AHH!

Irish Flag

Ireland's Flag at my campus flies backwards! Whoever sewed it on sewed the white part to the Orange side instead of the Green side! The flag is suppose to hang from the Green side! I have always seen it flown that way. I will post a picture of the disgrace later on. So when the flag hangs it looks really bad. The Green is hanging down :( Gah people get it right! Come on.

Tinker Bell! Mairead!

Ok, so the last Tinker Bell movie that was released last October featured our very own fiddler Mairead! Joel McNeely got a chance to see her in concert and thought she resembled a fairy (she really does) and thought she would be perfect for the soundtrack. Boy was he right! She fit very well!

Well, it seems that there are going to be 4 dvds! They all will be out in Oct. of each year. I hope Mairead will be on all of the soundtracks! Joel, please keep her! lol

So Joel started recording of the Tinker Bell 2 dvd soundtrack and I am pretty sure Mairead will be on this one!

DMB Big Whiskey Album

Ok, so that is the new DMB album cover. Well part of it. It's release date is June 2nd which is the same day as my CW show and I couldn't be more excited! My two favorite bands on the same day! That day I will go out and by the album, go to work, and then come home and get ready! I am so ready!

I wouldn't mind though seeing Boyd and Mairead on the same stage fiddling it out. That would be cool.

Sara Watkins' new cd!

So I bought Sara Watkins' self named new cd! If her name sounds familar, she used to be with the folk band Nickel Creek. They are on hiatus right now. You're probably wondering what Nickel Creek and Celtic Woman have in common. Well, Nickel Creek used to be played before the Celtic Woman shows. I remember hearing it in October of 2007 at Ovens Auditorium. Then when The High Kings was created, they started playing them. Not sure what CW is playing before their shows this tour but I will find out.

Sara is a wonderful singer. She is cute too. I love her voice. I would definitely see her in concert if she came to NC. She also plays the fiddle! I am hoping Nickel Creek will get back together. I am hoping to catch them in concert.

Tour Spoilers Board! I'm Dying...

I am dying. Yes, you heard that right! I am dying! Ok, not literally dying, but I am dying to read the Tour Spoilers Board that Aislin put up for those who want to be suprized and not know about the Isle of Hope Tour.

Well, I happen to be one of those people (pretty sure the only one by now lol) that wants to be surprised and not know anything! CW, don't take this the wrong way, I love reading the reviews and seeing the videos but I think it is so much better when you don't know anything. It's like receiving a gift and you don't know what it is and you open it and are totally surprised! That is how I feel.

Ok, so this is how I really feel about that Spoiler Board. It's like me having wood to burn but no fuel! The Spoiler Thread is the fuel and I can't get to it! Gah! It's a pain in the *** to see the title's of the threads such as "Pic of the Dresses!" and "Chicago Review!" It's killing me let me tell ya!

So I am trying not to read any reviews, articles of CW, or blogs. People have been nice and not talking about it around me and I thank you all for cooperating with me! It's freaking hard to do this but people keep telling me to hold on and wait cause it is worth it and I don't doubt them at all!

CW puts on one hell of a show and I know this show will be just as amazing and just as magical as the others before them.

Now if they would only tell us where the new DVD taping in July would be!!!!!!!!!

Spring 2009 Isle of Hope Tour!

Well, it officially starts today! The CW Isle of Hope Spring 2009 tour! I haven't been reading anything on the Evansville rehearsal show cause I wanna be surprised when I go to my concert in June! Not sure if I am gonna be able to last that long! I will surly try though. To me not knowing is like receiving a gift, it's better when ya don't know! Plus, then my expectations won't be too high. I tend to keep my expectations on the low down. That way when I get to see the show, I will be totally blown away! So, just 4 months for me or 107 days!

Glad that the Admins put up a Spoilers Thread for everyone who wants to look. Plus, they can't talk about it in the chat! Which I was worried about it.

CW Ltd Official Forum TBA

I read that CW Ltd will be having their own forum and I am debating if I am gonna join. I am pretty comfortable with the CWF and I know the Administrators there very well. So I am sorta skeptical about joining the Official one. Not to say that the CW Ltd's forum will be any less or anything but I am the sorta person that tends to get stay in one spot. CWF is where I am. I sorta thought "Hum CWF is gonna have some competition" but I am not worried about our forum. CWF will continue to thrive.

I am glad that the CWF is not Offical. I think our forum would be different if it was. But glad that CW Ltd is making their own Offical forum for their fans.

CWF and THKF!

Okay, so I found this forum sometime after the 2007 Super Bowl. I was at school and was looking up info in Celtic Woman and I found the forum! I think Danielle was the Administrator then and it was a nice forum. A few months after that it crashed. Then B&J created another one but it wasn't quite perfect. Something was missing.

That's when Aislin came along and used her magic to make what the CWF is today! It's pretty damn amazing! That girl has talent beyond anything I knew existed! Well, I got to know B&J pretty well and some of the forum members there. Then B&J left to pursue other projects and handed the whole forum over to OldFatGuy (OFG) and boy was that a huge MISTAKE! (JK OFG!) I slowly over the next few months developed a friendship with OFG. Then OFG was crazy enough to make Aislin an Admin! (hehe) OFG was going off to see his neice, Deirdre, that summer and put that crazy woman in charge! Needless to say we had a good time. We managed not to kill each other.

The CWF is my second home. I practically live there! When I am not in school or at work, you can find me in the CWF chat cause that's where I live! The members of the CWF are like family to me. I have formed a close bond with the Admins and the GM, Chris. CWF is a place for news, funny stories, amazing artwork, and of course the place to chat about Celtic Woman duh!

Although, there are a few members that get on my nerves. Hehe. But I am not about bashing on anyone.

The High Kings forum came around during the summer of 2008. Aislin had been secretly working on this for months. Once again she did a damn good job of it! She made the two forums share a database so all you have to do is click on the link at the top of the CWF and log in once and there you are! THKF! Aislin's talent never ceases to amaze me.

The CHAT! OMG, my home! lol Aislin, once again did an amazing job at linking the chat with the forum. She even added a cool background of the 5 original CW girls. Now though THK and CWF share a database, so you can choose from 3 background pics. Pretty nifty stuff.

I have to say that the CWF is the best thing that has happened to me since...ice cream was invented! I have met some awesome people there and hopefully CWF will continue to grow and flurish as it has been doing.
